Hello All,

Well, the Illinois State Trapshoot is history, and Kentucky State shoot is next week. I am really looking forward to my home state shoot. The Central KY Gun Club throws great targets, and has a wonderful background! Due to travel and shooting, we will not be sending out a Newsletter for the month of July. We are currently well stocked on all products, so feel free to shop away!

MEC Auto-Mate Reloaders

Posted by scattergunstore on June 17, 2010 at 9:42 PM

Hello All,

As always, thanks for visiting our site and blog! I have sold quite a few MEC Auto-Mate reloaders in the past. Even though I have sold a few, I have not tried one out myself. While at the Illinois State Trapshoot today, I took a moment to visit the MEC guys at their booth. They had their entire line set up, and I got to load some shells on the Auto-Mate. All I can say is that I am highly impressed! I might have to get one for myself. The loader is very quiet and efficient. That's all for now.

Back From Missouri

Posted by scattergunstore on May 17, 2010 at 10:07 PM

Well Folks, I am back from the Missouri State Trapshoot. Can you say wet? Boy, was it ever. I got soaked on Friday. It was rough, but a rainy day shooting is better than a good day working, right? It is back to business as usual at Scattergunstore.com. I have some new products coming in this week, and I will be adding them to the Web-Store. I will post them here in the blog, once they are added!

We now have Multi-Scale Universal charge bars in stock for your MEC Reloader. We are carrying bars for both progressive and single stage MEC's. I have had quite a few people ask us to carry these, so I am proud to announce that we have them in stock. If you are unfamiliar with this offering, this universal charge bar replaces your current MEC bar. This bar has infinite adjustability! You can now adjust powder and shot setting in a few seconds. This bar is in our Web-Store for $35.95. If you bought every MEC charge bar and bushing, you would spend $300+. This is a great addition to any MEC reloader!

I have gotten some practice in, and I will be heading to the Missouri State Trapshoot in May. I love the Lake of the Ozarks area! The MTA always puts on a great shoot, plus the area has some of the best eating in the world. I wanted to let you all know, that I will not be vending at the Missouri State Shoot this year. I will be there shooting from Thursday thru the weekend, but no vending. If you were planning on visiting with us, please give me a call at 270.804.5454. I will be glad to bring anything you may need.

Until next time, and I wish you all many broken targets!

Howard Leight Max Foam Ear Plugs

Posted by scattergunstore on April 10, 2010 at 8:29 PM

Hello All,

Thanks for visiting Scattergunstore.com! I have a new product that I would like to share......we are now carrying Howard Leight Max foam ear plugs in our Web-Store. These plugs are the ultimate foam plug! They feature a rating of NRR 33. This is the highest rated NRR foam plug on the market. It could very well be the highest NRR available of any hearing protection. I had heard great things on these plugs, so I decided to carry them. I actually wore these plugs today while practicing, and I am amazed on how well they block out noise! If a shooter wanted to eliminate all noise, these coupled with the Peltor Shotgunner Muffs would work awesome! These plugs are uncorded, and go into the ear easily. We have these available in 1, 2, 5, 10, and 20 packs. Pricing ranges from 50 cents a pair to 25 cents a pair depending on quantity purchased. You can view these in our store by clicking here.

That's all for now. I hope all of you are enjoying the Spring weather!
